Psychodynamic counselling and psychotherapy in Edinburgh
I offer a consistent, confidential space to think about your experience at your own pace. You might come with something specific, or with a sense that something doesn’t feel right but is difficult to put into words.
Rather than following a fixed agenda, each session begins with what feels most immediate. Attention is paid not only to what is said, but also to gaps, moments of stuckness, bodily sensations and dynamics that might emerge in the room.
This way of working is particularly suited to people who are curious about their inner life or are struggling with the discomfort of not knowing why they suffer.
I have been fortunate to work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds, navigating a range of painful difficulties, from persistent anxiety and relational distress to depression and sudden changes in circumstance.
You can find more information about how I work, here.
Fees
I charge £60 per 50 minute session, for both online and in-person therapy. I invoice at the end of the month and collect payment via direct transfer. If this is not possible for you, for whatever reason, I can also accept cash session-by-session.
Location
My consulting rooms are within walking distance of several neighbourhoods in Edinburgh, including Marchmont, Newington and The Grange. The location is also easily accessible for those at the University of Edinburgh (George Square campus).
Detailed arrival instructions will be provided once our initial appointment is confirmed.
Accessibility
The office I currently use is accessed via two flights of stairs and there is no lift. Please let me know if this presents a barrier to you, and any other accessibility requirements I should be aware of.
